Foundation becomes skincare 

It is a trend for foundation products to be more and more aligned with skincare efficacy, instead of the traditional separation of the two effects. La Mer, Bobbi Brown and Christian Dior are all planning to expand their range of skincare foundation products, which are claimed to be capable of enhancing skin quality and restore firmness and clarity. 

Mouth-watering beauty

External-use skincare products may not be able to fundamentally rescue the aging process of skin, so internal-use products could be more effective. Many oral cosmetics are promoted on this logical basis, claiming to provide supplementary collagen protein for the skin to look younger. There have been many forms of oral cosmetics on the market, such as tablets and delicious beauty drinks. 

Skin activating

Two years ago, "skin activating" was still a word for beauty salon treatment. But in 2007, consumers were all talking about it, thanks to the mergence of home skin activator products. But because of the limited density of home skin activator products, the results may not be instantly visible.

Classical packaging

It is time to revisit the old-school fashion, as many famous brands are now looking for inspiration from century-old packaging. The trend has gone up to a new level since the entry of Benefit Cosmetics, a popular, cute and humorous American brand, into China last year. 

Environmentally friendly skincare

Environmental protection was the most profound fashion topic in 2007. This year, Lancome will be the first in China to launch an environmentally friendly skincare product, which claims to strictly adhere to the environmental principle on bottles, packaging and ingredients.

Two-in-one products

Ladies today are getting busier. They always hope to spend less time on caring themselves and use minimal space to carry cosmetics. This has prompted the emergence of N-in-one products, with better and better creativity. Clinique is going to launch a dual-tube eye cream in China, with one end containing sunscreen eye cream for the morning, and recovery eye cream for night use.
